Panoply Arts Festival
The Panoply Arts Festival is the Southeast’s premier arts festival, occurring every year on the final weekend in April. Big Spring International Park in downtown Huntsville is transformed for a whole weekend into the site of our city’s largest event of the year. Visitors go from all over the country to enjoy this celebration of music, art, culture, dancing, and more!
While the festival features a lot of local talent, it also features regional and national headliners in the evenings. Every year, visual artists from a variety of fields exhibit and sell their work. Everyone showcasing their art at Panoply is a “maker,” from paintings and sculptures to jewelry and apparels. Dancers of different ages perform anything from ballet to hip hop, as well as a variety of regional dances such as Irish dancers and the classical Chinese style. These shows take place on stages all across Big Spring International Park. Many locals make this a yearly outing, but this regional arts festival draws in just as many out-of-state visitors, too. Panoply should definitely be on your list of “must-dos.”
