Huntsville – RCP Companies has introduced an exciting new project called Anthem House, as part of an expansive mixed-use development in Huntsville’s MidCity District. Announced on September 9, 2022, this development aims to enhance culture and discovery within the area.

Anthem House will host a unique array of retailers, including a first-of-its-kind vinyl bar, a fitness center, a spice shop, and a nail salon. The centerpiece of Anthem House is Perseus, which will be Huntsville’s first true vinyl listening lounge, managed by Nick Quinn, the owner of several local businesses such as Goodland Pourhouse and Mad Malts. Perseus will offer an assortment of craft coffee, Mediterranean tapas, refined cocktails, and will focus its music program on analog sound experiences.

Additionally, there will be pop-up coffee events in collaboration with entities like Vertical House Records to introduce the vinyl bar concept. The new X⁴ interval training studio, located in MidCity Plaza, will cater to all fitness levels, offering 50-minute classes led by certified coaches. Meanwhile, the Savory Spice Shop, originating from Franklin, Tennessee, promises an immersive shopping experience featuring fresh-ground spices and handcrafted seasonings. VSL Nails, known for its focus on high-end nail artistry and hygiene, will also be established in a retail center next to Dave & Busters. Another new establishment, Dragon Alley, will be located at the corner of FAME Avenue and Mid City Drive, operated by the team behind Kamado and other popular local businesses.

The MidCity District development represents an investment of $2.2 billion, covering 140 acres and providing 1,850 residential units, 925 hotel keys, premium office spaces, and over 40 acres dedicated to outdoor gathering spaces, including the Orion Amphitheater. A variety of essential services will also be part of the structure with planned openings for Wellory Living, Hotel Indigo, Bank Independent, and Fifth Third Bank.

The Placemakr Huntsville at Anthem House has also opened for bookings, featuring a blend of multifamily living and short-term stays. The facility will offer 330 units, including studio and one-bedroom options, alongside elevated hotel-like services such as room cleaning, laundry, and linen service. Additionally, discounted hotel stays will be available for friends and family members of guests. This development is ideally positioned near Cummings Research Park and Redstone Arsenal, attracting government personnel as well as families visiting for leisure.

The entire MidCity District is set to feature approximately 600,000 square feet of curated dining and retail experiences, complemented by a 40-acre public park. This mixed-use project showcases RCP Companies’ vision to create a vibrant, culture-rich community. As part of their expansion strategy, Placemakr has been launching similar properties in other cities including Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., and Salt Lake City throughout 2023.
