This year, the summit is branded as P.R.O.P.E.L. and is targeted at a diverse group of attendees, including startup founders, entrepreneurs, small business owners, investors, venture capitalists, corporate partners, and entrepreneur support organizations. In addition to the upcoming summit, the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber has recently held its 40th Annual Small Business Awards Gala at the Von Braun Center. This prestigious event celebrated outstanding contributions from local businesses across various industries, with 18 awards being presented to different small businesses in Huntsville.

Among the honorees, ChurchStreet Family Businesses received the Community Impact Award, while Transcend and The Fearless Company were recognized as the Professional/Technical Services Business of the Year. Mighty Dog Roofing won in the Construction Industry category.

Other notable awards included AGAPE of North Alabama as Nonprofit of the Year, and ReLogic Research, Inc. was named Minority-Owned Business of the Year. Furthermore, Connor McLeod of SpaceFactory, Inc. was honored as Young Professional of the Year, while John Schmitt of iXpressGenes, Inc. received the Small Business Champion of the Year award.

This year’s gala also recognized SkyfireAI, ITC Defense Corp., and Science & Engineering Services in defense and engineering categories by company size.
