New Gameday Experiences Announced for Gamecock Women’s Basketball
Columbia, S.C. – Exciting times are ahead for fans of South Carolina women’s basketball as the team has unveiled two innovative gameday experiences for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Starting this season, attendees at selected games will have the opportunity to enjoy a kids’ play area, known as Dawn’s Day Care, and a hearty brunch buffet.
Details of Dawn’s Day Care
Fans with tickets for the designated games can take part in Dawn’s Day Care during two specific matchups. On Thursday, Nov. 14, the area will debut during the home game against Coppin State, followed by another opening on Sunday, Dec. 15, when the team faces USF.
This family-friendly space located in the McGuire Club will feature various activities such as inflatables, bracelet and necklace making, and poster crafting, ensuring kids have an entertaining experience while parents enjoy the games. The area opens as soon as the doors to the Colonial Life Arena open and will remain accessible until the game concludes. It is important to note that while there is no admission fee for the daycare, parents must supervise their children and can watch the game from designated windows.
Brunch Pack Options
In addition to the kids’ area, fans can also indulge in a delicious brunch package available during four selected Sunday games. Available items include bottomless mimosas and bloody marys, alongside a wide range of dishes such as chicken and waffles, a bagel and lox board, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, and various pastries.
The brunch will be offered for the games against East Carolina on Nov. 17, Auburn on Feb. 2, UConn on Feb. 16, and Kentucky on Mar. 2. The buffet will be served in the McGuire Club, opening with the arena doors and closing at halftime. Tickets for the brunch experience are priced at $75 per adult and $25 per child aged 12 and under for each game, or fans can purchase a four-game package for $275 per adult and $75 per child.
Fast Break Pass Availability
These new offerings are part of the team’s ongoing efforts to enhance the game-day experience. Just recently, the Gamecock women’s basketball program introduced the Fast Break Pass, allowing holders to bypass the typical lines to enter the arena and concessions. This pass enables fans to enter the venue 30 minutes prior to the general admission, providing a stress-free start to their game experience.
Fast Break Passes are available for the season at $100 or for select games at prices ranging from $12 to $20, depending on the matchup. Season-long and single-game Fast Break Passes for November games can be purchased now, with December passes going on sale on November 15.
Upcoming Games and Further Information
The Gamecocks, currently ranked No. 1/1, will kick off their season on Sunday, Nov. 10, against No. 9/8 NC State as part of the Ally Tipoff event in Charlotte. Their inaugural game at the Colonial Life Arena is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 14, against Coppin State, with a tip-off set for 7 p.m.
